Taken near Custer State Park. I spent some time observing this bird go to town picking this flower clean.
Processed in ACR using denoise I brought this into PS and dodged and burned. I cropped way in. some areas.

Another image of capturing behavior of the bird. I love the seeds flying all over. Both thistles are in sharp focus and the bird is in between them. I do not see any harm in trying 1/2000 sec for capture of this image and hope for an even sharper bird. You know this area and bird well!
