interesting image that tells a good story about the snow geese gathering along a river. I find it a bit unusual that the flying snow geese are whiter, considerably so, than the snow geese resting on the river. Also the back snow geese seem to be whiter than the snow geese in the foreground.

A few areas that could attention. First of all, it seems to be that image is tilted toward the left. Perhaps not, but I get that impression. Secondly there is a large tower in the distance, could this not be a tower an be the moon you reference? And lastly the choice of F/6.3 and ISO 180 does not work for this image. The ISO very low, I would increase it and increase the aperature to get more DOF so more of the image would be sharp.   Posted: 06/12/2026 16:18:32

I agree with Richard and cannot find the moon either. I think the image would be stronger if you cropped out most of the geese in the foreground.   Posted: 06/13/2026 06:24:11

I applaud your courage to try such a difficult composition. I had the benefit of reading the feedback and processed the image along thess ideas. The image has been straightened and the foreground birds shifted toward white. I took a bit of liberty and cropped to my eye. I like the flying birds in the sky.   Posted: 06/13/2026 13:17:09
