About the Image(s)

Captured this Green heron with a recently caught fish in Costa Rica in late November 2025. Photographed in early morning light (6am) under overcast conditions. Shot with my A7RV and 200-600mm lens at 600mm hand-held. An ISO of 4000 at 1/500s and F6.3 – no exposure compensation used. Image cropped significantly to fill the frame with the subject and eliminate some of the distractions in the water. Processed with Lightroom Classic (highlights reduced and shadows opened up). Denoised and sharpened in Topaz AI.
