This bear was spending so much time in front of our boat gorging on many of the salmon he caught.
ACR denoised upped shadows contrast and whites. Lowered highlights and blacks.
In PS I adjusted the midtones and highlights. Dodged and burned select areas.

Darcy, this is a very nice close up of a bear eating its favorite food! You did a great job pulling up the shadows. The salmon (red) actually looks over-saturated, even though it matches the original color.
Compositionally, my eye wants a little more space on the bottom of the image. This is a situation where, while shooting the image, you would have benefited from basically sticking the central focal point directly on the eye! Which is what most of us did when we started shooting.
