I am a Chemical Engineer, retired after working for the same company for over 30 years. I have been doing landscape photography for many years but I am a novice in wildlife. Since retirement, my wife and I have been traveling, hoping to make some interesting images. I joined PSA just recently but I have been an active member of the local Photo Club - a PSA affiliate.

I use Canon gear - R3 with 600mm or 100-500 lenses.

I hope to learn from this group to improve my technique.

I consider myself an intermediate level photographer. If it moves or if it doesn't I shoot it. I especially like to photograph birds and wildlife as well as cityscapes and landscapes. I am currently using Nikon Z9 and D500 cameras. I have an assortment of lenses from 15mm fisheye to a 150 to 600 telephoto.
I am active in several local camera clubs as well as teaching a photography course at Northwestern Universities adult continuing education class.
I primarily use Lightroom and Photoshop for editing and play with Nik, DXO, Topaz and Luminar software.

Most of my photography career was centered on fashion and portrait photography. In retirement, I have developed an interest in nature photography, particularly wildlife. I live in the Pacific Northwest so I have fairly good access to nature photography opportunities. I am not very competition oriented but I certainly appreciate critique and feedback. The rules for the Nature Division are more in tune with my approach to wildlife than some camera clubs I have been a member of. Reality seemed to take a back seat too often. I am sure that I have much to learn about what is allowed in post processing but I expect I can meet the criteria for many of my photos.

Lillian Roberts, APSA, GMPSA/B

Lillian Roberts, APSA, GMPSA/b, has been an active nature and wildlife photographer since the late 1990s. She joined PSA in 2001 but only recently became more active first in competition and now as 2nd ND Division Chair. In taking on the study group administration, she hopes to both improve her own understanding of the division but also give back to an organization that supports and facilitates photographers at every level.
