About the Image(s)

Photographed this bearded dragon sunning itself on a gravel pathway at a local botanic garden back in January 2025. Had to lie down on the ground to capture the image - it was quite chilled about it all - I was only a short distance away (about 3 feet). Conditions were sunny with intermittent clouds. Photographed with y A7RV and 28-300mm Tamron lens at 165mm hand-held. An ISO of 800 used at 1/200s and F6.3 – no exposure compensation used. Image cropped to a 16:9 format to remove some of the surrounding vegetation. Processed with Lightroom Classic (highlights reduced a little, shadows opened up and white balance warmed up a little). Noise reduction and sharpening in Topaz AI.
