November 2025 - Salmon Lunch
About the Image(s)
I am not usually a fan of close portraits but this black bear standing in water up to his shoulder just seemed to fit a "headshot". He stayed in one place for quite some time scooping up spawned out salmon as they drifted downstream on the British Columbia coast. The tree branch made a convenient lunch table. Shooting from a Zodiac allowed me to get the low angle.
