We started out the New Year on January 1 with Iowa playing Penn State. John got a media pass and was sitting on the floor, I was in the stands. #5 Ava Heiden gave Penn State all it could handle, disrupting shot attempts successfully many times.

t was the biggest attendance at a women's basketball game this year, and Iowa fans traveled very well to the game. I was surrounded by two Pennsylvania families who each traveled over two hours to watch Iowa play at PSU. They told me it was because of Caitlyn Clark, even though she's not on the team anymore.

While Penn State started the game with a 10-point lead in the first quarter, Iowa took control and won the game 80-68.
