About the Image(s)
“Volleyball 101”
Why I took this image:
Description: First, I must apologize for being late for getting these images posted. I kept hoping that I would get images from Vivek and David, but I decided to go ahead without them. Second I need to apologize for posting a volleyball image again, but it is near the end of the volleyball season, and I felt this image really tells the story of what volleyball is all about. The girl on the far left has just perfectly set up the shot, number 18 is preparing to spike and the three girls on the other side of the net are in the air preparing to block the shot.
Camera Settings: Creation Date: 11/16/2025 Camera: Canon, Camera Model: Canon R5 Mk II, Shutter Speed: 1/1250, Aperture f/3.2, ISO 3200, Canon RF70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM @ 75 mm
Post processing: Normal LR color and lighting adjustments, slightly cropped. Sharpening and denoise using Topaz Photo AI.

The only problems, the horizon is slanted. If if would be possible to straighten the floor, it would look more natural. Perhaps this would mean cropping too close to the players and the volleyball.
Also, there seems to be a white balance issue. The photo is too yellow. This could be easily corrected with software.
Overall, an excellent volleyball photo. The action is good.   Posted: 12/17/2025 21:49:07
