About the Image(s)

“Number 12 Looks in Pain”
Why I took this image:
As I have said before Carolyn and I have season tickets for both men’s and women’s basketball at Penn State, but it turns out we were back in Iowa visiting my grandson and watching Southeastern College basketball. I liked the expression on this one players face.

Interesting action. For me interesting point are just the three main players and the ball. Basket is far away and a lot of negative space between. I would crop it out. I would also like to see color version.   Posted: 04/20/2024 20:48:45

Hi John. You have done a good job capturing the players both attacking and defending, like Bogdan I would also like to see the colour version as well, I am not so sure B&W works in this situation. Unfortunately, player 12 face is partially obscured as you say he's in pain but can still see his intent. Still a good photo showing high energy basketball.   Posted: 04/26/2024 01:14:35

More of the players' bodies would help. The monochrome is fine, to me. Nice action.   Posted: 04/28/2024 01:35:02

Interesting photo John. It is nicely denoised for ISO 6400.
I agree with Karen that more of the bodies would be good. But the story is the expression on #12's face. Bogdan has a good thought about the basket; have you tried cropping in from the left? I think BW is good for this image; I suspect that the background would be distracting in the color version.   Posted: 04/30/2024 02:03:16
