About the Image(s)

I shot these New Year's Eve and each has a different allure. I originally planned to submit the first, but the third shot, with its smoky swirl was equally intriguing to me.

Jenny, did you intend to show three different shots? I only see two. They both have a sweet story. The submitted photo does show the girl's face and figure more clearly, but for me, the second photo with the smoke is more compelling, and I think you could probably process her face so it is a little more visible through the smoke. In either case, I would suggest straightening the photo, as the tilting lines detract from the composition.   Posted: 01/06/2025 10:09:22

Have to agree with Ardeth. The one with the smoke is far more interesting, artistic and appealing. Straightening it made it even better. For me the one with her just standing there with a totally uninteresting background is the one you should have pitched.   Posted: 01/06/2025 12:17:11

Yes the photo with smoke is a better option. I would have preferred to ask the girl to move her hands a bit in rotation and not to keep her feet so close to each other as that could make the image look dynamic.   Posted: 01/06/2025 21:35:31
