This image was made while roaming in a boat along the "ghats' in river Ganga at Varanasi in India. It was interesting to see wet clothes being dried on a ghat on a bright sunny day. The two women who happened to pass by added more interest to the composition.

I downloaded the image and processed it in Photoshop. I tried its B & W version too but was not impressive.

I am fascinated by this photo! I love all the horizontal lines of clothing laid out to dry and horizontal lines of the steps. I really like the inclusion of the graffitied wall, with more hanging clothes, and the two ladies add a visible human element. Posted: 05/10/2025 17:10:17
