About the Image(s)
I was amused watching as every member of this family couldn't resist looking into the window of the candy shop in Monterey, California. Maybe even the baby in the carriage was trying to get a peek? Yes, I know you can't actually see their faces but it is obvious where their attention was directed. (They did pass on by, though—such will power!)

Well humm, at least these folks are moving. Will power indeed with those little ones in tow. Colors nice. I'll have to get up to Loveland sometime for one of your club meetings.   Posted: 06/07/2025 16:44:10

Nice effort, I would have waited till the man in front comes close to the window so much that it appear as if he is interacting with the lady who is on poster inside the shop. That could make a story in this street shot.In that frame I could eliminate the lady with a kid who is at the extreme right . That's my point of view to make the photo story telling but you had been to the actual situation thus you know better what to do.   Posted: 06/08/2025 04:33:01
For me, the whole story is the entire family attracted by the sweet shop-"It's Sugar"! The father was not interacting with the lady, he was interacting with the candy, and that is the story. My feeling is that eliminating the mom in the back holding the hand of the little boy makes the story less effective.   Posted: 06/08/2025 10:24:48
I want to cut the two windows on the left, so the reflection of the man's shirt is not in the photo. The moment was a good capture, everyone fascinated by the shop window.   Posted: 06/12/2025 20:58:14
True that I could have cropped off the windows on the left, but I felt it made a very awkward image ratio and also giving the man with the baby carriage no room to walk; I also liked the balance of keeping both overhead light fixtures. I didn't feel maintaining the amount of space on the left detracted from the story.   Posted: 06/13/2025 10:23:18
