June 2025 - Putting up the Sails
About the Image(s)
My wife Carolyn and I just took a ten day vacation trip to Newport, RI and York, ME. During our time in Newport, we took a sailing trip in Narragansett Harbor. Once we left the dock the crew was left with the task of putting up the sails for our excursion.

Looks like hard work. Your settings all look good.   Posted: 06/14/2025 18:11:25
To me its all good but if I could see facial expressions of the lady, that could be better as she is engaged in a hard work requiring her lot of energy.   Posted: 06/15/2025 00:04:54
I really appreciate the composition, with enough visualization of the deck and the sails to place the setting and probably to show the type of boat, for people who know boats! The passengers are obviously interested in the way the crew is handling the necessary work. I think the body poses demonstrate the energy and strength required to raise the sails and the two crew members working together. For me, the image lacks a bit of vibrance, although I prefer that to oversaturated images.   Posted: 06/15/2025 09:15:41
The colors are wonderful, the blues and tans almost blend. The only issue is the face of the woman hoisting the sail. It appears you had a choice between her face and the background. Still, a more opportune moment might have made the photo.
Nice work. It sounds like a fun vacation.   Posted: 06/17/2025 00:39:06
