September 2025 - Sir, can you give me some food...?

Going through some of the raw data recordings taken before COVID, I came across this picture. I could recall that we were coming down to the foothill village, after visiting Machu Picchu.
We chatted with 2 village girls who were brightly dressed and requested to take their picture. In return, this little girl asked for some food--holding out her right hand. For some reason, the scene reminded me of the statement made by the very famous Oliver Twist " Sir, can I have some more ! ". The hungry look was well-expressed on her face. She received a good size apple which made her very happy.
