Last month, I lost a friend and the world lost an icon. I'm submitting a photo I shot of Chuck Negron, founding member and arguably the voice of Three Dog Night, in concert at the Cannery in Las Vegas, Nevada. Although not in sight, this was also one of the last performances of original TDN drummer, Floyd Sneed in concert. Carlos Murguia is on keyboards.

This photo obviously has a place in your heart because of the meaning of friendship. You were able to capture this image of Chuck Negron without other people being in the way. The downside is that because you were shooting up toward the stage from a close perspective, we can't see his face very well, and you weren't able to include the drummer, whose face is hidden by the cymbal. It is a wonderful shot for your archives but probably wouldn't do well in a competition (although most of us aren't only shooting for a competition!). Posted: 03/11/2026 09:53:27
