Trisomy 21 (extra pair of chromosome 21) is a chromosome abnormality affecting human beings. Affected individuals would have mild mental subnormality. Most importantly , they are a group with pleasant and friendly personalities, never aggressive. During our visit to Guangzhou, China last month, our friends’ daughter (Trisomy 21, aged 20) revealed her unusual friendliness towards 2 bronze boy statues erected in a city park —embracing them with an eager grin on her face!

HI Maurice, this is a wonderful image, and one that would do well in a Human Interest category as well. The young woman's expression is priceless and to place her in between the statues has directed my attention directly to her. The image is sharp, the colors are natural. Thanks for sharing the reason of such an abnormality in your description. The facial expressions of the young lady are well captured and these being in contrast with those of the statues, make the image more interesting. Although you have tightly cropped the image to eliminate distractions in the background yet to me these are part of the story as the image has been made at a public place in the open.
