About the Image(s)

Every summer bicycle enthusiasts, particularly from the LGBTQ community, get together for a 'naked' bike ride through downtown Philadelphia. The ride brings attention to bicycle safety on city streets as well as LGBTQ issues. Since the preparation and ride are held in public space, the participants are aware of many photographers and often dress in body paint.
My Group 03 image for June was taken in a public park where riders socialized and prepared for the ride. 'Getting Glittered' shows two people being painted by a fellow specializing in glitter.
