November 2025 - Utility Pole Pulled Out

Recently our neighborhood had the streets repaved. One morning an asphalt truck had dumped its cargo and forgot to lower the bucket as it drove off. The truck snagged on utility lines, broke off a utility pole and cut both electricity and phone/internet to our homes. This photo was taken just after the incident as we waited for repair crews. Nikon Z7 II with Nikkor 24-120mm f/4S lens at 50mm. Exposure was ISO 400, 1/250 second at f/16.

Hey Karl, this Gordon visiting from group 6. I hope that nobody was injured in this one? I've worked with heavy equipment myself and overhead lines really nothing to mess with and the bill to fix this, is crazy. I like your image, with the crew in the background and the fresh laid asphalt. I'm curious and new to PJ. Your image looks a bit HDR'ish to me and maybe extra post production?
