Great capture! Perfect focus on the action. The stance of the fighter facing us is perfect, sword in the air, caught in the middle of a jump off the ground, and determined expression on his face. He also stands out against the dark trees behind him, while still capturing the audience, whose clothing helps emphasize the sikh culture of the people and the fight. Great job! The expression on the swordsman's face is excellent, and caught in mid stance is well done. And while my eye was drawn to him, I also enjoyed watching the expressions of the bystanders and others in the background. Posted: 04/10/2024 20:10:10
A fabulous capture with the swordsman in midair. The people in the background are fascinating as well. Their expressions intent, except for the one female who appears to be looking at her cellphone! Am curious about the footwear, or lack thereof. Posted: 04/14/2024 12:41:15

It is part of a religious practice to remove shoes in the presence of the guru as a sign of humility. I do not understand why in the sword fight one person had shoes off and another on. I looked at another image and saw this as well.

The images of the children dancing, the two children wore shoes. In another image of a fighter one wore shoes and the other did not.

The young man in white is focused on his opponent. I keep wondering if its a festival or right of passage into adulthood.
