This photo was like a few others of mine taken at the beach during Mardi Gras. The kids have so much fun catching the beads and candy. This one shows the little dragon girl accepting beads personally from a kind gentleman. Most beads are thrown for the floats. I have named it "Special Delivery". Taken with my Canon Rebel T6i at 8f, 1/160 sec., ISO100 and 38mm.

Such a sweet interaction between the little girl and the older gentleman; wonderful storytelling, with the inclusion of the setting so we see the decorated float and the other bystanders with beads around their neck. Posted: 06/12/2025 09:32:34

You have captured a lot of activity in this image but my attention goes to interaction between the man in his bright yellow jacket and the little girl. The mother and dog point toward the girl bringing the viewer's eyes to the interaction.
The man's hand is slightly blurred (motion blur). When photographing a scene with movement, you might consider raising your ISO to achieve a higher shutter speed. Posted: 06/23/2025 17:41:26
