About the Image(s)

My son and his wife welcomed a new baby to the family this year. His 11-year-old daughter wasn't so sure about having this addition! At the hospital, she was a little in awe of the tiny new person and it looks like she is on her way to becoming a protective big sister.

Nikon D850, Nikon lens 18-300 @ 22 mm. My settings in a fairly dim hospital room with bright backlight from the big window were f/6.3, shutter speed 1/60, ISO 3200. I did have to deal with some noise in post processing and also did some lightening of the face, boosting light where the light was already occurring and working to also bring attention to their hands as they support the baby together.
