I'd like to go to an Oddities Faire like this. I think this image has a lot of impact. My eye goes right to the tattoo maker. Good exposure and handling of the light, which looks as if it may have been challenging. If the tattoo maker's face was a bit sharper, I believe the image would be even stronger. I really like the story here, and the focus on the tattooist, my eye goes straight to her. I do like the concentration on her face and there is no doubt that she is working on creating a piece of art. I did find the rear end of the person having a tattoo a bit confronting and wonder if there were any other perspectives that also told the same story. Other than that I notice you haven't included your camera settings (so I can't comment on these) but a narrower depth of field (wider aperture) would force the focus on the worker and less on the background.   Posted: 06/20/2025 02:31:11
