Floods are always a good choice for Photojournalism images, and your image is certainly a good example. The drone settings produced a good image and I'm surprised that the f4 aperture didn't blur the far background. Since this was taken from a drone, I'm additionally surprised that the image was so sharp at 1/25 sec. I would have cropped a bit of the sky off, as it is dead space, but I would have left the water alone, as it adds to the flood concept. I suppose the inherent story in your image can qualify as human interest, but IMV, I think as a photojournalism entry, it would be better placed in the 'general' category.   Posted: 11/08/2025 05:01:43
