Arunanjan Saha

Arunanjan Saha

I'm Arunanjan Saha, an engineer driven by a passion for photography and storytelling. My journey began with a major on textile technology, culminating in the completion of my M.Tech degree. However, it was my involvement in student activism during my college years that sparked my interest in understanding the diverse tapestry of Indian society.

Traveling across India, I immersed myself in different communities, gaining insights into their lives and experiences. This exposure ignited my desire to capture these stories through photography. With a deep-seated interest in photojournalism, I now want it to be a journey to visually document the intricacies of human existence.

I want my effort to be an attempt to unveil untold narratives and shed light on societal issues. I strive to capture the raw emotions and fleeting moments that define the human experience. Through my work, I aim to create impactful visuals that resonate with audiences worldwide.

My journey as a photographer must be a continuous learning process. Everyday presents an opportunity for growth and exploration, and I embrace the challenges that come with pushing artistic boundaries. I am committed to evolving and honing my craft as I want to make a meaningful impact through my photography.

I am a retiree with time on my hands and a love of photography. I volunteer as a naturalist with the Boulder County Parks and Open Space (CO) leading nature hikes. I've always spent a lot of time outdoors observing and now I can do it with a camera in hand. What a treat!

Apparently the link through PSA doesn't work.

I have been a serious amateur photographer for well over fifty years. For many of those years I have been active in a local camera club. My photography has gone through several phases. ( I will eliminate the family only phase.) In the first I tried to follow CC "rules." But when I realized that photography is a hobby, and the only one my work should please is me. In my current phase I seek to present an interpretation of what I see. If the communication has not occurred It is my failure. My personal art philosophy, should be mentioned so that the context of my comments may be understood. To me a photo taken for purposes other than as an aid to recollection of a beautiful spot, or moment in life is art. As such a literal reproduction is a catalog or postcard shot, which usually communicates nothing about the object. My approach is some type of abstract interpretation. I am always seeking to learn. Please do not be shy about making negative constructive comments, I will learn more from a constructive negative comment, them than a basically meaningless "nice image," without further explanation. Hopefully, I will follow my own philosophy. I also like to experiment. As we all know some experiments work, and others don't. Most of the time I just let the image tell me what to do.

Ron Davis

Ron Davis

Ron Davis is an amateur photographer who takes mainly sports photographs, sometimes travel when able. He started sports photography in a simple way about 1973, when as a player, he experienced a lot of injuries and found with a camera, he could still be involved. From about 2016, he restarted sports photography again, concentrating on suburban sports clubs. Nearly all of his photos are distributed to the clubs and players involved. He is a member of Ivanhoe Photographic Society, a local club, and has been granted Associate Membership of Australian Photographic Society by panel judgment, submitting mainly sports photos. He enjoys sports photography, as it is one of the few areas in our daily lives in which people express their emotions, especially through the face.

Photography is my interest since my childhood days when I watched my father taking photographs of family, friends etc . Back then , print photography was very much a costly affair to enter. But with the advent of digital world in the field of photography, it opened up new opportunities for amateurs like me. My interest grew with social media connections. But the true learning started after I joined a photography club. I got exposure to many genres of photography due to my club activities. I started developing a strong craving of photography, mainly street. Then I started entering my works in few salons which later helped me to achieve honor with AFIP and AFIAP in the year 2018, EFIP in the year 2019 and EFIAP in the year 2020. But my experience says that I still have a lot and lot to learn, as the saying goes, learning is a journey that never ends.
