About the Image(s)

This image was taken in Central Pennsylvania in an area of Amish Farmers. This farmer seemed to be OK with me taking pictures of him working as he waved on several different passes with his team. I thought it was unique that by the barn (which is not visible in this image) was a large concrete vat where the cow manure was kept throughout the year. It was then mixed with water to make a semi soluble material and pumped through 6" hose and because of the distance another pumping station back into the hose and the mule team pulled hundreds of feet of hose while pulling up and down the field. It finally went into a spreader that the farmer manually directed the manure on the fields, A section of the red hose can be seen in the image.
