November 2025 - No Kings Protest

This image was taken October 18, 2025 during the "No Kings Protest" in Fort Myers, Florida. The protest permit limited the protesters to lining a major highway (US41) in Fort Myers. There was over a mile of people lining both sides of the streets with police estimates of several thousand protesters and in many places people were 8 to 10 people deep. This image was taken at a major intersection and I think the signs do show the feelings of many people in the USA.
Taken with a Canon R5, f/8, 1/800 sec, ISO 125, 100 to 500 lens @ 200mm.

It looks like a shot that could have been taken anywhere in the US that day, small towns and big cities. It was a wonderful exhibit of people coming together to celebrate their opposition to authoritarianism. Love the colors, signs and costumes. The fact that this is in Florida is even more meaningful.
